aloneintoronto: I got this little youtube glitch last night, and it got me thinking about how none of this is permanent. It may feel like it now, but who knows if in 42 years youtube will still be around, if those videos will still be up, if we’ll still be able to enjoy things like we do now.  It’s just a bit strange to think about. The shame about the internet is that it seems like nothing truly survives, that all the things we enjoy now will one day get washed away as something new and exciting comes along. But I guess that’s true with everything. Everything we know now will be forgotten one day. None of this will matter, but I think that’s what makes it matter more, if I make any sense.
