People who believe in God, or conspiracy theories, or ghosts are not really on different levels. All can be coping mechanisms. All are backed by similar amounts of information. I don’t see how one is tolerable and the other isn’t.

no, see, God can exist without evidence. The fact that nobody has ever seen him or heard from him does not preclude his existence. He could just not be showing himself to us. I choose to believe he isn’t there. Others believe he is. Fine.

With ghosts though, the fact that there is no concrete evidence for something that supposedly exists on this planet and is visible to humans means that if you believe in them, you’re a moron or delusional

sorry!

What’s interesting, Tom, is that in this particular post you are literally repeating a point my Christian Theology...

  4. sofuckingchuffed said: Some people have ‘encounters’ with ghosts. I don’t believe all are lies. I don’t believe in ghosts, per se, but I’ve had my fair share of ‘ghosts’. I can see why some people would easily believe they’re there. I did for a while.

  6. revivre-les-morts said: But that is like saying that everyone who believes in ghosts believes they are visible to humans; which is totally canceling out the other option of ‘ghosts that are not visible’. I just find it hard to knock off the spiritual world that could exist.

On so many levels. I love Tom Milsom. This is exactly what I always say!
